I began writing this javascript application (?) to learn the language. If you look at the (horribly messy) code, you'll see that it doesn't simply consist of 'if' and 'then' statements.

I originally chose an alternate method for finding the codons so that I could brush up on my lateral thinking skills. I also thought that maybe this code would end up being shorter... is this irony? The entire code took me about 50 to 100 lines longer than it would have if I'd used basic assigning techniques! Grrrr....

Well, at least I can say that I learned some skills - and sort of had fun along the way :)

Instructions:
Simply enter the mRNA codon in the box provided, then press "Find amino acid". The amino acid will be displayed in the box underneath.

Bugs? -They've been fixed... with a corresponding increase in the length of the Javascript code. *sigh*
