After playing Baldur's Gate for an unhealthy amount of time, I decided to create some custom portraits. Please note that the images shown here are GIFs! This is so that non-IE users can see the images. If you try to directly save them by right-clicking, you won't be able to play with them unless you convert them to BMPs. The easiest thing to do is to just download the zip files I've created for each image- the zip contains both the large and small portraits.

To use the portraits in the game, all you have to do is extract both files into the Portraits folder in the Baldur's Gate directory. If you don't have a portraits folder already, just create one. When the game starts and asks you to generate a character, choose Custom in the Appearance window, then look for the correct file.
